JB shared that he feels comfortable and safe within the care home environment. He expressed that all his needs are being met and he is content with the support he receives from staff. He reported no concerns regarding his wellbeing and stated that he is satisfied with the care provided, which makes him feel secure and at ease in his daily life. He also highlighted that staff ensure he receives his favourite food items, which makes him feel valued and cared for. In addition, he expressed appreciation for how birthdays and special occasions are celebrated, including Christmas, Easter, and other religious activities, as these events help him feel included and give him a sense of belonging within the care home community. JB further shared that staff are very supportive and assist him with his personal care needs, including showers, pad changes, and maintaining the cleanliness of his room. He also acknowledged the encouragement he receives from staff to take part in activities such as games and gentle exercises, which contribute positively to his overall wellbeing. Overall, JB expressed satisfaction with the support and care provided, describing the staff as caring, respectful, and attentive to his needs.

DR

DR expressed that he is happy living in the care home and feels well supported by staff in all aspects of his daily life. He shared that the staff are very supportive and encouraging, particularly in helping him to do things independently, which makes him feel more confident. He mentioned that he receives support with shopping and enjoys being allowed to prepare his own meals, which gives him a sense of independence and choice. He further highlighted that special occasions such as Christmas are celebrated well within the home, which he enjoys taking part in. He also appreciated the way staff maintain and look after his room, ensuring a comfortable and clean environment for him. DR stated that he values the freedom he has to go wherever he wants at any time, as this allows him to maintain control over his own lifestyle and routines. Additionally, he praised the staff for their continuous support in practical matters, such as assisting with documents, escorting him to hospital appointments, and ensuring he receives his monthly injections. He also acknowledged the support from management, who provide financial assistance when needed, such as during times of shortage. Overall, DR expressed his satisfaction with the care, independence, and encouragement he receives, and feels secure knowing that staff are always available to support his needs.
